20 Dec SATURDAY SESSION | III EDITION EMERALD GOLF TOUR SEVILLA
Early on Saturday, the third tournament of the EMERALD GOLF TOUR took off, with completely clear skies and nothing but an ideal temperature to enjoy a round of golf full of surprises for our contestants.
The first one happened really early in the morning, since after enjoying a light breakfast at the Players Lounge, when the players arrived to the Driving Range and headed to their private practice spot, they found a caddy waiting for them, who was dressing in an outfit similar to the ones used at The Masters and would work for them during the course of the 18 holes.
At 10 AM, an acoustic siren indicated the start of the competition at the marvelous course Real Golf de Sevilla, which lasted about 5 hours under great weather conditions and at a set-up only seen at European Tour events.,
During the round, the players enjoyed 5 different hospitality tents full of snacks, drinks and unique presents adding to the ones received in the Welcome Pack the day before at the participants’ locker. In addition, each of the tents was provided with a 75-inch screen that was showing the leaderboard with the scores of the participants in real time, this made the participants feel like real European Tour professionals.
One of the “main attractions” and most awaited awards were the “Hole in One” awards on each of the par 3’s of the course, with gifts only seen at European and PGA Tours.
– Mercedes Car: worth 220,000 €.
– XTB’s Bank Account with 100,000€
– Audemars Piguet’s Experience worth 90.000 €.
– Honma Golf Set worth 65.000€.
During the round, we could feel the players’ competitive tension and we accomplished one of our goals, which was to make the amateur player feel this competitive tension, like Tour players.
In the end, the winner of this third edition was Yvonne-Remy Jones with a-2 Net Score.

While the tournament was going on, the companions were not left apart, they enjoyed activities like a private “floating breakfast” on the Guadalquivir River, a coaching session and a “Sevillanas” workshop where they had lots of fun and made of their morning something dynamic and interesting.
Once the tournament was over, both players and companions were transferred to the “Club Deportivo”, where the attendants enjoyed a cocktail prior to the closing lunch, in which the awards ceremony and the giveaway took place. Obviously, the closing performance was staged by one of the best local flamenco companies, harmonizing the evening and closing our third event EMERALD GOLF TOUR 2018.
This is what happened at our third “EMERALD EXPERIENCE” hosted in Sevilla, which has been broadcasted at the main public channel for sports broadcasting Teledeporte de RTVE.
